How will the Park Look?
We estimate we need about 10 acres to achieve what we want to achieve - space for parking, for a meadow, for woodland, for growing, and for us.

We wanted to get straight in our own minds how we might use the land area we buy, and wanted to give something to help you visualise our vision. Obviously the layout in reality will depend upon the lie of the land, existing features such as trees and water, and the way the land drains. But you get the idea.
Key features are the meadow, the cafe area, pond with pond-dipping kit and information, growing space with beds and polytunnels, a produce fruit area including orchard trees, a large space for coppicing (productive woodland for multi-use wood), a butterfly zone with buddleia and other plants which attract butterflies and feed their caterpillars, space for chickens and goats (which will be allowed to roam some areas out-of-hours to reduce mowing), and of course space for us to live, visitor camping and parking. We'll include display spaces around the site and other smaller open or enclosed buildings as needed.
